Roles & Responsibilities Assess patient physical, psychosocial, and educational needs using solid nursing judgment Plan and implement individualized nursing care in collaboration with the care team Perform telemetry monitoring and timely interventions for cardiac patients Evaluate patient responses to interventions and update care plans accordingly Delegate and coordinate nursing activities to promote safe, patient-centered care Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning Document care accurately and maintain professional standards consistent with hospital policy Float between telemetry and med-surg units to meet patient care needs Qualifications Active Michigan RN license (LARA/Nursys verification required) BLS certification required ACLS preferred 3 years of telemetry nursing experience required Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required Paragon EMR experience preferred Skills checklist completed within the past year (for RN specialties) Willingness to adhere to facility attendance policy and work scheduled holidays Able to float to multiple units (telemetry and med-surg) Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and interpretation Medical-surgical nursing principles Nursing assessment, care planning, and evaluation Patient education and family-centered care Delegation and team coordination Experience with Paragon EMR (preferred) Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced acute care environment Benefits A supportive team that values YOU and your clinical expertise Licensure assistance & reimbursement to help keep your Michigan RN active Flexible scheduling that gives you blocks of days off between assignments Paid time off to recharge and maintain work-life balance Professional development support and opportunities to grow clinically Travel reimbursement and help getting you settled into the area Referral bonus program for bringing great teammates on board Comprehensive onboarding and a skills checklist to set you up for success Travel Perks: Explore Mount Clemens, MI Mount Clemens sits along the scenic St. Clair River with a charming downtown, local shops, and a friendly small-town feel.
