Job Description & Requirements Medical Technologist - Clinical Laboratory Scientist - (Med Tech - MT - CLS) StartDate: 7/14/2025 Available Shifts: 12 D/N Pay Rate: $1697.48 - $1860.00 Med Technologist needed asap Under general supervision, performs routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. Requires six months experience in a medical laboratory setting. -Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions are required. -Completion of accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences. -Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if completed coursework aligns with the duties of the specific Medical Technologist position. -Coursework completed outside of the US must be verified by a NACES approved credential evaluation service -Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW is preferred. Required Qualifications Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist, Laboratory Experience: 6 months Certifications(At least one of the following): MEDTECH-American Society of Clinical Pathology(Copy needed), CERT-CCI- ACS(Copy needed), CERT-HEW(Copy needed) SSN Required DOB Required Work History: Should not be more than 30 days of gap in entire work history References: 1 Reference in entire work history -Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions are required. -Completion of accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences. -Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if completed coursework aligns with the duties of the specific Medical Technologist position. -Coursework completed outside of the US must be verified by a NACES approved credential evaluation service Preferred Qualifications 13-week assignment Likely to extend, possibility of conversion to FTE Requirements: Min 3-5 years' experience (in hematology preferred) Previous hematology experience Tech certification Experience with fluid cell counts & differentials Completion of accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if completed coursework aligns with the duties of the specific Medical Technologist position. Preferred - Hematology Specialist Certification Training will be Mon - Friday starting at 6.30 am or 7 am for 6-8 weeks of the assignment and then we'll switch to midnight Candidates working on automation line Facility Location Famous for its music, automotive industry and urban landscape, Detroit is a fascinating city begging to be explored.
