Job DescriptionSalary: Inside / Counter SalesLocations: Avon, OH & North Royalton, OH Indy Equipment & Supply is a one-stop-shop for construction contractors. Whether it be supplies, equipment rental, service or aggregates, your partners at Indy have the knowledge and expertise to help our loyal customers get the job done right! Indy Equipment & Supply seeks to fill the position of an Inside / Counter Sales. If you meet the qualifications below please apply:An Inside / Counter Sales is responsible for various functions including, but not limited to:

• Answers sales calls and assists customers inside the store by taking orders and answering questions in a courteous and timely manner
• Processes and monitors will calls, special orders, backorders, fabrication orders, truck orders, drop ships, and quotes
• Maintains store appearance by straightening, organizing, and securing displayed material to guarantee safe and orderly conditions in sales area. Faces shelves and restocks showroom as needed. Clean and organize as needed
• Maintains a high level of product knowledge through reading about the products the company sells and attending all assigned product knowledge meetings. Provides customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, product suitability, pricing, and availability
• Other duties as assigned Aptitude/Abilities/Skills:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to learn computer software, input orders in sales order database.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Accurate and detail oriented
