Within the Epilepsy Department, you will be part of a family of caregivers committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and surgical treatment options. -A caregiver in this position works 7:00PM - 7:00AM. -A caregiver who excels in this role will: -

• Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments. -
• Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments. -
• Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status. -
• Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision. -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
  • Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field -
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association -
  • One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician irst year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics -
  • American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years of hire -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
    • First year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for one year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician -

      • Ability to assist with positioning and transporting of patients, pushing beds, carts and wheelchairs.
      • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
      • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
      • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.Personal Protective Equipment:
