Military Veterans are Encouraged to Apply. -Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Level SQL Server DBA/Architect for a fully remote role. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration along with SQL on-prem to Cloud migration experience. The SQL DBA will communicate and consult with business and technical personnel, blending with their IT team and working together to help identify potential problems and develop solutions. The SQL DBA should have experience in design of database architecture solutions as well as extensive troubleshooting.Salary Range: - $60-70 per hourThe is a great chance to join a large and innovative organization with growth potential, offering a 6 month temp-to-hire role.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing DB environment health check / assessment
• Creating and maintaining high performance, scalable, and stable data architectures
• Leading database solution aspects including setting standards and providing deep technical expertise for best practices, systems, and architectures
• Design database architectures and solutions that are highly available and meet disaster recovery requirements
• Ability to identify gaps and risks with database strategy and security
• Effective capacity planning that can scale
• Database software lifecycle management (Patches and Upgrades)
• Design automated deployment procedures for on-premises and cloud
• Ensure successful delivery of solutions, training, and documentation, internally and with customers
• High-Availability design and builds using technologies SQL Server Failover Clusters
• Database, system, and application performance tuning
• Replication and Cloning Design and Solutions
• Backup recovery plans and execution -QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years SQL database administration and design experience
  • Demonstrated experience in architecture of enterprise level database solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with presentations in front of customers and management
  • Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., HPE Greenlake, AWS, Azure) is a plus
  • Experience with SQL migrations on-prem and cloud (HPE Greenlake is a plus)
  • Provide 24x7 support and Participate in an on-call rotation
  • Monitor system's health and performance
  • Performance troubleshooting and resolution
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
  • Handling daily issues (Blocking, long running Transactions, Deadlocks, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot issues related to TempDb, Transaction log and System databases
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS
  • Experience with backups, restores and recovery
  • Scheduling database backups, taking full and Transaction log backups
  • Automate SQL server tasks (SQL jobs, Windows scripts, etc.)
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
    Experience identified below are additional positives:
    • Familiarity with Oracle
    • Familiarity with Open Source (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
    • Supporting multi-site environment
    • Experience with virtualization technologies
    • Experience with Nagios, and scripting associated with plugin development
    • Experience with using ServiceNow
    • Experience with Logic Monitor

      Pay Details: $60.00 to $70.00 PER HOUR
