Job Description:
CENTERS LLC develops and delivers comprehensive management
services for university recreation, student center, and wellness

which we work.The full-time, benefits eligible Maintenance Worker
is the primary caretaker of the assigned facility responsible for
the general cleaning and upkeep of the building and equipment. The
position will report to the Coordinator of Building Maintenance and
is assigned primarily to the Cleveland State University Student
Center.Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilityRestocks
toilet paper, paper towels, and soaps as neededPerforms routine
preventative maintenance on building systems, machines and
equipmentTroubleshoots issues to determine necessary
repairsInspects and diagnose equipment or machines in need of
repairPerforms general repairs that do not require a specialized
technician or trade. Examples may include repairing drywall, minor
painting, repairing doors and fixturesParticipates in the annual
facility maintenance and deep cleaningAssists in examining facility
for safety hazards; reports any needed service to
supervisorAssembles, installs, or sets up machinery or
equipmentAssists with the coordination of part-time employees by
providing on-shift directionPerforms other duties as
assignedOvernight/early morning hours expected - Standard work
schedule is negotiableHigh school diploma or equivalent. Vocational
schooling a plusMust pass a background checkAt least one year of
general maintenance work preferredGeneral mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of general carpentry and repairFamiliarity with safe
operation of hand tools and power toolsWillingness and ability to
take directionAbility to plan and direct work activities, to manage
time effectively, and set prioritiesThe ability to operate
computers for scheduling, email and data entry/retrievalCurrent
American Red Cross CPR/AED/FA certification (or willing to
obtain)Human RelationsInternal contacts include staff at all
levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors.
Interactions should remain professional, polite, and courteous.Work
