This role can be based out of Cleveland, Ohio or Cincinnati, Ohio.
Organizational Expectations :
As the Law Enforcement Technician Supervisor, you will be in charge of supervising a team of law enforcement technicians. LEU Technicians function as support to Federal Law Enforcement Officers whose duty is to protect the Federal Reserve Bank assets and personnel. The security of the Bank and employees is the overall mission of all LEU personnel. LEU Technicians work in a variety of positions that support sworn officers, as well as releases them of assignments that do not require an armed officer. This position is an essential function of the Bank and may require extended work hours and/or work during emergency or crisis situations.
General Responsibilities :



  • Team Leader that supervises entry-level employees.


  • Plans and establishes daily work routines for a team of support or technical personnel within a clearly defined job area.


  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.


  • Typically requires broad job knowledge of operational practices within own job area.


  • Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of issues, but typically are not complex.


  • Explains practices and procedures of job area to others within the organization to justify work methods and gain cooperation.


  • Establish and maintain a working environment conducive to positive morale, inclusion, quality, innovation, and teamwork.


  • Evaluate and provide ongoing training and development of staff including performance reviews and regular feedback.


  • Recommends and in some cases administers staffing changes and disciplinary actions.


  • Utilizes independent thinking and problem-solving to ensure issues are addressed promptly and when necessary, prepares written documentation and/or informs LEU management.


  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.


  • Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.


    Education and Experience :


    • 5 years of prior relevant experience.


    • Education: BA Degree/associate degree.


    • Subject to a special background investigation, must be able to attain secret security clearance.


    • Certification in standard first aid, CPR, and AED required.


    • Thorough knowledge of Federal Reserve regulations, procedures, and practices of a specific discipline: LEU Standard Operating Procedures and General Orders.


    • Expertise in problem solving, creativity and innovation to determine problem areas and provide fresh approaches to solving moderately complex problems.


    • Advanced analytical, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills required to direct and lead staff, and ability to perform independent research.


    • Outstanding oral and written communication, ability to interact with all levels of Bank management, the Board of Governors, and staff with strong presentation and public speaking skills.


    • Ability to operate office equipment and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.


    • Intermediate Customer Service skills.


    • Intermediate Leadership/Supervisory/Management skill, and strong relationship management and teamwork/collaboration skills.


      Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
      Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. May work extended hours regularly to meet deadlines and resolve unusual problems. Overnight travel seldom required.
