Crystal Diagnostics is a hi-tech manufacturing company seeking a self-motivated -Laboratory -Research Technician -to support focused research teams as well as managing their own projects. This position will be responsible for the conduct of day-to-day research connected with development, evaluation, and validation of a pathogen detection assays. This position will require occasional evening/night work related to the support of research projects. CDx employees are offered paid time off (PTO), 10 paid holidays, bonuses,retirement benefits, and more.Requirements:--- Bachelor's degree in science with emphasis on research techniques or an equivalent combination of education and responsible experience.--- A minimum of 1 year of laboratory research experience demonstrating technical expertise in microbiology, ideally with assays.--- Understanding of basic microbiology techniques, including bacterial cultures, agar plating and media preparation.--- Ability to perform inoculations for various research projects.--- Must be very attentive to detail.--- Strong communication skills.--- Strong Organizational Skills specifically with lab supplies and data.Physical requirements:The candidate is regularly required to sit, use hands and arms to reach and lift up to 30 lbs. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to handle small hand tools, power tools, and operate all production equipment.
