Description: This position is responsible for learning the assemblies and operations of production. The employee will be expected to know each of the different job functions that make up the assembly line of various product lines. The employee will be responsible for attaining the production rates established by the Production Supervisors in order to meet customer delivery schedules.Requirements:To perform this job successfully, the selected individual(s) must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and job responsibilities listed below. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCross-train in different production operator jobs.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Attain production goals within a reasonable period of time.Assist in ensuring materials are at the work centers in a timely manner in order to avoid inefficiencies and lack of materials when needed.Responsible for understanding and following all safety procedures, policies and standards. Foster and operate in a continuous improvement environment.Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE-- High School diploma or equivalent.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES-- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, prioritize, and execute work activities.-- Must have proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.-- Detail-oriented.-- Ability to effectively communicate with peers and managers throughout the company.-- Ability to effectively handle a variety of tasks.-- Ability to learn and follow work instructions.-- Good sense of safety.-- Strong sense of personal accountability.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position is moderately active with the majority of the work done in the production area.
