Our site in Perry, Ohio is part of the Global Manufacturing
Solutions (GMS) business. We specialise in low volume, high mix
electronics manufacturing for the aerospace, defense, industrial,
and medical industries. With locations in North America, Europe and
Asia, we provide highly engineered electronics and
electromechanical assemblies for world-leading manufacturing
companies. We provide customers with tailored business solutions,
global sourcing and logistics.
Summary: Requires good technical and analytical background coupled
with excellent communication skills and an understanding of the
electronic manufacturing process. Focus on helping to create,
maintain and improve quality system policies, procedures, process
sampling systems and statistical techniques.
Essential Requirements and Job Duties include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Clear understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100, AS9102 and NADCAP
standards applicable to electronic manufacturing processes and
systems compliance to the standards
Understands quality requirements of contracts, PO's (and
amendments) to awarded contracts, and compliance of sub-tier
supplier to contractual flow-downs
Coordinate quality aspects of product launch, New Product
Introduction (NPI), Production Readiness Reviews. Identifies any
unique customer requirements for workmanship and traceability
Develop Inspection Acceptance criteria based on TT / customer
requirements and Key/Critical drawing and spec characteristics
Responsible for team development of APQP (Advanced Product Quality
Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) plans
supported by SPC and related data collection.
Responsible for product and data creation & presentation for final
customer acceptance, Source Inspection and First Article Inspection
(FAI)
Good understanding and ability to use basic measuring
equipment/gages (Calipers, pin gages, tape measures, microscopes,
etc.)
Understand configuration management disciplines, tools and
practices to ensure that products and services meet engineering and
quality requirements
Coordinates with Procurement to assess quality systems of new
suppliers and manage existing supplier quality conformance. Assist
with resolution of supplier material non-conformances
Understands and ensures compliance to TT / customer Counterfeit
Prevention Program
Supports production MRB process and underlying cause of
non-conformance
Performs corrective action and root cause analysis when required
(customer, supplier, internal)
Understands and ensures product traceability requirements are
met
Works closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
and Customer in support of Continuous Improvement programs and
projects
Technical writing skills to develop quality procedures/instructions
and communicate effectiveness of quality system
Good understanding of Internal Auditing skills/processes &
reporting is preferred
Performs Customer & Supplier Quality liaison duties
Familiar with IQ/OQ/PQ protocol & validation plans
Qualifications:

Five (5) plus years' quality experience. Aerospace experience
preferred, but not a must. ASQ
certifications a plus.
Language Ability: Excellent communication both written and verbal.
Ability to read and analyze datasheets, industry standards,
correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports,
Quality plans, Inspection guides, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, Team
Members and the general public. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions. The Individual must possess
strong skills in grammar and proofreading.
Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
discounts, proportions, percentages, statistical data, trends as
appropriate to the essential responsibilities.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to collect data, solve practical
problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form. Ability to maintain a professional and
positive image in any situation using good judgment.
Computer Skills: Ability to use office software, including Word
processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Slide Presentations, Internet
browsers, E-mail, and business systems software.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory
responsibilities. Although, this role may give/provide quality
direction to Team Members/personnel.
