Job Overview
The Deviation Management Analyst will perform basic accounting
activities and assume responsibility for maintenance of our
deviated pricing related accounts. The Analyst prepares and
maintains financial and business transactions, applying accounting
principles, which include work that is analytical, evaluative, and
advisory in nature.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain deviated pricing programs from the Accounts Receivable
side.
- Reconcile customer sales statements to related payments
received and deductions taken.
- Reconcile underlying inventory transactions to ensure all
inventory is accounted for in the business.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies by interacting with various
stakeholders, primarily sales representatives and customers.
- Ensures and maintain rebates in SAP and / or related system for
all approved agreements to document rebate contracts and
transactions.
- Coordinate the recovery of any invalid deduction.
- Responsible for making sure end customers provide accurate and
timely reports.
- Reconcile rebates and commissions as related to accounts using
deviated pricing.
- Effectively communicate with management and external
departments.
- Analyze the effects of transactions upon account
relationships.
- Ensure the adequacy of the accounting system as the basis for
reporting to management.
- Post journal entries to the general ledger as necessary.
- Recommend improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the
accounting system and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant pricing procedures and
practices.
- Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation
of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate revenue postings as
required by Revenue Recognition Standard, ASU 606.
- All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job

customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing
Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality
Food Program.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administrations, or related field.
- Two or more years of experience working in Accounting or
Finance department.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on expertise
and experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem
solve.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, with an expertise in Excel.
- Ability to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with management and all levels of
production.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance
- SAP experience.
- Three or more years of experience working with deviated
pricing.
Working Conditions
--- Work is performed in an office setting.
--- Occasional exposure to industrial operations including:
temperature extremes from approximately 35 -F to 100 -F; noise
levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
--- Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may
be required.
