Construction Are you looking for an opportunity to build your
experience in project management? If so, Southland Industries'
Project Engineer II position is for you In this role, you will work
on exciting, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects as you
develop your skills in estimating, scheduling and project
management within the design-build construction process. What
you'll do: You'll get to work on a large and innovative project
that will excite and challenge you You'll get to develop your
project management and leadership skills and will be surrounded by
a team who loves to collaborate You'll develop and implement
strategies and plans to ensure the team meets or exceeds the
project delivery contractually and financially You'll manage change
orders and expedites material and provide interpretation of plans
and specifications You'll use your estimating skills to track the
impact of project changes You'll be counted on to analyze and
resolve questions and problems You'll keep management and
stakeholders informed on all issues affecting project timeline and
budget You'll track, report and work to improve production of
self-performed work You'll be a key support person to the Project
Manager and team as needed You'll share your technical knowledge
and help guide less experienced Project Engineers What you'll need
to be successful: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or
Construction Management and have 5-7 years of experience working
with a mechanical contractor You have a deep knowledge of
applicable systems design - HVAC, plumbing, system operations You
understand and have the capacity to read technical drawings You
know how to plan for the future and can see what is needed down the
road for the success of a project You are hard-working, enjoy
learning and growing and want the opportunity to grow your career
You love to learn and don't mind rolling up your sleeves to do what
it takes to get the job done You have strong time management and
communication skills You have the ability to prioritize and
creatively solve problems You are accountable and take initiative
