Job Description:

A property management company is seeking Custodians to perform general and routine cleaning. This a first shift, part-time position working 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Job Duties:

• 
  
• Vacuum, mop, dust, sweep, clean windows or mirrors, service, and supply of restrooms, and maintain all common areas
  
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing floors both in the common areas and all units
  
• Monitor building safety, security, and report any safety or security issues to appropriate staff
  
• Gather, empty, and take trash to the garbage chute or dumpsters and assist in moving the dumpster to a designated location for pick up if needed
  
• Clean out vacant units and prepare for occupancy; inside and outside of cabinets, refrigerators, stoves, and bathroom tubs, sinks, and toilets
  
• Set up, arrange, and/or remove decorations, tables, and chairs to prepare facilities for events or meetings
  
• Move furniture, equipment, or supplies either manually or by hand truck or dolly
  
• Complete paperwork required for custodial activities and maintain janitorial equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications
  
• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies, follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, and prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
  
• Power wash the outside of properties, mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, use mowers, hand, and power trimmers, remove snow from sidewalks and parking areas, and spread snow melting chemicals
  
• Perform light carpentry, plumbing work, and other duties as assigned
