Overview
The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga
DD) is seeking an Events Coordinator to manage and oversee the
planning and execution of internal and external events sponsored by
Cuyahoga DD. Events hosted by the Human Resources Department as
well as various other divisions would include, but are not limited
to the all agency staff meeting, traditional business meetings,
small team events and other employee engagement and community
collaboration activities. The nature of work would include, but is
not limited to the following:
- Schedule and coordinate events held
internal and external at Cuyahoga DD.
- Collaborate with various business and third party personnel to
co-develop event requirements and then successfully execute the
various events.
- Work with event sponsor to gather and understand all
requirements and ensure all requirements are met and executed
timely.
- Develop and maintain ongoing communication protocols with event
sponsors.
- Collaborate and communicate with event sponsor and vendors
involved in a timely and accurate manner to ensure event schedule
and requirements are understood in advance.
- Oversee and manage the relationship with external vendors and
facilitate any identified needs.
- Manage the documentation process (reservation request, event
details, attendance expectations, technology requirements, security
requirements, catering requests, etc.) for all events and provide
continuous improvement to ensure information is being gathered,
documented and communicated efficiently.
- Provide quality control to ensure all event set-ups are on time
and as agreed and approval of all event sites prior to the start of
event.
- When required, arrange for rental of equipment and materials
with preferred vendors, approving invoices, capturing and assigning
costs to the event.
- Provide periodic reports, feedback and improvement ideas to
supervisor and others as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to all staff and event
sponsors.
- Provides hands-on assistance with set ups, adjustments or other
tasks as needed to ensure a quality event experience.BENEFITS AND

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years' experience coordinating activities and events
for an organization.
- Previous event planning experience or similar experience with
coordination of projects and successful execution.
- Demonstrable written and oral communication skills.
- Valid state of Ohio driver's license and continued maintenance
