Your Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Rotate in departments related to the trade to complete -8000 on-the-job training hours and successfully complete related classroom instruction -specific to the trade
  
• Work closely with a Journeyperson in maintaining production stamping tooling in a timely and efficient manner and developing prototype/production stamping dies
  
• Work closely with a Journeyperson in programming, set-up and running CNC equipment in a tool room environment
  
• Requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and apply acquired skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
    
  • Mechanical aptitude and -knowledge
    
  • Hands-on learner
    
  • Blueprint reading
    
  • CNC machining
    
  • Accuracy in measurement
    
  • Metal cutting practices
    
  • Math
    
  • Enthusiastic -about their career in skilled trades
    
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
    
  • Positive work ethic
    
  • Problem solving skills
    
    Our OfferingThe Schaeffler Apprenticeship Program is State certified through Apprentice Ohio and nationally recognized. The Schaeffler Apprenticeship Program is the largest registered manufacturing program in the State of Ohio. - The University of Akron delivers the classroom instruction required for the program. Schaeffler covers 100% of the tuition costs and offers an optional college credit track.
    
    Schaeffler is currently offering a Hiring Bonus: $1500 after 90 days, $1000 after 12 months
