American Greeting is looking to hire a supervisor for our second shift custodial crew, situated at our World Headquarters Building located in Crocker Park. This position starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 2:30 a.m.The custodial crew supervisor is responsible for overseeing and implementing best-practice cleaning procedures and directing the efforts of a diverse work group.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision of approximately 16 union custodial workers Ordering supplies and ensuring proper stock for all cleaning requirements Maintaining HAZMAT and MSDS logs and records, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and ordering proper PPE for use with chemicals Experience with custodial equipment and able to troubleshoot potential problems and order necessary parts Collaborating with Human Resources when interviewing and onboarding new hires Training of new employees and development of existing employees Enforcing company policies and procedures, including conflict resolution and utilization of the disciplinary process when necessary Developing and maintaining appropriate protocols for cleaning and maintenance and ensuring that the daily cleaning schedule is completed Compliance with corporate sustainability initiatives for recycling, landfill, and compostable materials Completion of cleaning duties, as needed. 10 years building maintenance responsibility, preferably in a unionized environment 5 years supervisory experience
