Opportunity Available: Information Security Administrator
The Information Security Administrator works as a member of both the IT Operations team and the Modern Infrastructure team helping to ensure Oswald's digital assets are protected from unauthorized access. This includes securing online, cloud, and on-premises infrastructures, reviewing logs/reports/signals and other data to filter out suspicious activity, and finding and mitigating risks before breaches occur.
What you'll do

  • Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential security incidents.
  • Assist in analyzing security breaches to identify root causes using data collection and analysis.
  • Verify the security of third-party vendors and collaborate to meet security requirements.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining security policies and guidelines with, in some cases, ownership of specific documentation.
  • Collaborate with other IT and business units to implement security controls.
  • As directed, review new and renewing contracts looking for compliance with Oswald's technology standards and escalating gaps to leadership for additional review.
  • Stay current with new security threats and technologies and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
  • Deliver security training to employees using approved tools and solutions and monitor compliance with training, escalating to leadership as needed. What you'll get

      • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on technical experience delivering vulnerability management and threat response processes.
      • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
      • CISSP is a plus.
      • Knowledge of security standards, such as NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.
      • Demonstrated use and understanding of security tools and technologies including:
        • SIEM/SOAR
        • EDR
        • Email Security
        • Vulnerability Scanners
        • Employee Training/Testing tools
        • Strong and demonstrated problem-solving skills; comfortable working with multiple, large sets of data and tools to identify a problem and develop a plan to mitigate and/or resolve it.
        • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
        • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with general direction - is self-starting and engages with initiative - must be able to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
        • Organized and demonstrates keen skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once.
