Overview:

Locus is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team! To ensure success in this position, you will be meticulous and organized while being able to juggle multiple divisions under the Locus umbrella. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who help keep the financial status of Locus on track by providing clerical and financial support as well as receiving and processing payments and reconciling invoices.

*First 3 months will be fully in office, after that it can be flexed to a hybrid role if desired.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charge expenses to appropriate company by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
• Pay vendors by verifying vendor information and scheduling and preparing payments.
• Resolve contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and record proper documentation.
• Verify and process payments for approved expense reports.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
• Operate computer programs with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
• Respond to general vendor inquiries regarding payments.
  Required Qualifications & Skills:
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
