Job Description:
POSTION SUMMARYThe Mortgage Loan Officer provides exceptional
customer service to customers and employees, following The Andover
Bank Customer Service Standards. Possesses excellent communication
skills to develop talent and grow brand recognition. Contributes to
company profits and revenue by deepening client relationships
through mortgage and other banking products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESRegular attendance, (onsite and remote)Ability to
work well with others in a team environment. Exhibits objectivity
and openness to others' views.Provides accurate, prompt, efficient
and exceptional customer service to both internal and external
customers.Maintains knowledge of bank regulations, security and
compliance responsibilities, confidentiality, products, policies,
procedures and meets deadlines.Satisfactorily completes all
training required for the position. Strives to continuously build
knowledge and skillsDevelops external business with realtors,
builders, and other customers of influence (COI) through sales
calls, email campaigns, networking, social media, and other
creative activities.Provide mortgage training and support to
internal partners and retail branch employees.Interviews customers
and requests specified information for loan application.Requests
customers credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and
other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation. Follows
through and meets commitments and maintains
confidentiality.Explains available loan products and programs to
customers.Collects and explains all loan terms, costs, and rates to
customers thoroughly. Collects all documents needed to make loan
decisions, and conditions to allow for a final approval.Provides
excellent communication and customer service to all parties during
the mortgage process.Ensures loan agreements are complete and
accurate according to policy. Assures timely loan closing and
funding activities; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate
person with an alternate plan.Be available for joint sales calls
and events with bank partners.Promotes and cross-sells other
products and services as appropriate to the customer's
needs.Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion
programs.Follows instructions, responds to management direction,
meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner;
Takes responsibility for own actions. Supports and explains
reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in
decision-making process.Sales - Accountable for their own
production.Products - Consumer product fluency is expected,
particularly with all types of loans.Goals - Achieving sales
targets and conducting regular sales/referral coaching.Service
Organizations and Community functions - Expected to be actively
involved in service organizations and local communities.

discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic

manner and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a
variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or

information skillfully.Computer SkillsTo perform this job
successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft
Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
