Lead Hydromat Machinist
Our client is seeking Lead Hydromat Machinists for its Chardon,
Ohio facilities. Experience with either conventional Legacy or Epic
Hydromat Rotary Transfer Machines will be considered. Our client is
growing and they are looking for talented machinists to join them.
As one of the leading production centers in northeast Ohio, they
have the capability of manufacturing precision components and
assemblies using CNC turning, milling, multi-axis mill turning and
other processes. They meet the needs of their worldwide customers
and the demands of the ever-changing manufacturing industry.
A Lead Hydromat Machinist is a key employee. Management needs to

Responsibilities: -
These are the behaviors expected of the Lead Hydromat
Machinist:
- Is highly safety conscious; the safety of all our employees is
critical.
- Performs start-stop procedures including, but not limited to:
machine and conveyor start-up, loading of raw material, and machine
shutdown.
- Must understand the double-index machining concept, and ensure
parts are processed in line with that manufacturing
method.
- Performs adjustments to tooling and fixtures within prescribed
limits.
- Makes accurate tooling adjustments and maintains operation of
machining equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Completes all records, forms, and electronic data entry as
required.
- Checks machined parts visually and dimensionally according to
quality standards.
- Cleans chips from tooling and parts following all required
safety practices.
- Recognizes and reports machine malfunctions and part
discrepancies to supervisor.
- Performs preventative machine maintenance.
- Makes suggestions for process changes that may improve
machining operations.
- Housekeeping - replaces worn hand tools and maintain work
center.
- Performs all required secondary and auxiliary operations at
work center.
- Recognizes and complies with all applicable QP Mfg.
procedures.
- Communicates well with all different levels in the organization
(shop floor, office, engineering, supervisors, managers,
etc.).
- Promotes own ideas and shares information with others.
- Able to get to the root cause of issues in all work order
solutions.
- Communicates through appropriate escalation channels when
required.
- Holds to the standards of quality that QP requires.
- Is approachable and receives input from others well.
- Drives organization goals.
- Takes ownership of the actions and results of the team as a
whole.
- Coordinates, communicates, and executes in the absence of
supervision.
- Controls emotions and reactions according to the situation and
the audience.
- Provides accurate and detailed documentation.
- Provides feedback to Supervision and guidance for other
Hydromat machinists in training.
- Has the ability to safely and successfully perform the
essential job functions consistent with the QP standards, including
meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity
standards.
- Is able to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Qualifications:
- 2 years as a rotary transfer operator
- Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift.
- Must be able to lift max of 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout day
on a daily basis

Pay and Shift Info:
- 1st shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. 2nd shift is 3:30 pm to 12:00
am.
- Overtime available when conditions exist.
- Pay is based on experience.
