Job Title: Certified Lifeguard
Location: Creative Playrooms - Westlake, OH
Primary Responsibilities

• 
  
• Supervising swimming activities and making sure that safety procedures, guidelines and policies are followed
  
• Providing first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in danger or distress, and administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or artificial respiration, if necessary
  
• Assessing conditions for safety and coming up with an action plan for aquatics emergency
  
• Inspecting pool equipment, facilities, and water to make sure they are usable and safe
  
• Supervising and assisting in cleaning equipment and facilities
  
• Opening and closing the pool each day, depending on schedule and hours
  
• Organizing and overseeing pool parties
  
• Instructing or assisting classes in fundamentals of swimming
  
  Skills Required

  • Ability to work in a changing environment.
    
  • Knowledge of and ability to work in any of the roles within early childhood education.
    
  • Proactive and team-oriented attitude to create a successful team environment.
    
  • Ability to create a professional, productive, and positive environment for parents, and children.
    
  • Strong communication skills that always reflect professionalism and tact.
    
  • Follow all policies and procedures documented in the employee handbook, job description, and any other information verbally instructed by the Director.
    
    Qualifications
    
    • 
      
    • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
      
    • Valid First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer
      
    • High school diploma or equivalent
