Job Description This is an excellent opportunity to join a
family-owned and operated company that has been in existence for
over 80 years. Our client, a dynamic and well-established
manufacturing company located just outside of Cleveland, OH is
seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic TurnMill Operator
(CNC Machinist) to set up, maintain, and operate machinery to help
ensure the smooth and efficient running of production. This diverse
company is an industry leader that supplies products to the
following fields of Aerospace, Firearms Manufacturing, Power
Generation and Medical Tools amongst many other areas. Applicants
who would like to be considered should be experienced with Nakamura
turning machines (helpful) as well as with Fanuc controls, G&M
Codes, blueprints & GD&T. They must know how to use hand-held
measuring tools as well as being able to use an optical comparator.
Cutting exotic alloys, ability to change tools, and make offsets
are all requirements of employment. The employee should also have a
willingness to learn and improve their skills while working in
their position but at the same time, must be a team player as all
tasks will require close collaboration with coworkers. To assist
with team members betterment and knowledge learning, our client
runs its own educational program that encourages and allows
employees to hone their skills with additional instruction and
classes. These classes are taught by both outside educators as well
as internal team members who have achieved a certain level of skill
in a specific area of machining. These classes are open to all
employees. Specific areas of responsibility for these positions
include: Responsibilities: - Set up machines (5 yrs. setup exp. in
calibration, cleaning etc.) in order to start a production cycle -
Control and adjust machine settings (i.e. speed) - Feed raw
material or parts to semi-automated machines - Inspect parts with
precision measuring tools - Test operation of machines periodically
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift - Check output to
spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws - Keep records of
approved and defective units or final products - Maintain activity
logs Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of experience working with
stainless steel and nickel. Proven experience as a machine operator
is a must - Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and
measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.) - Must have an
understanding of production procedures - Adherence to health and
safety regulations (i.e. constant use of protective gear) - Ability
to read blueprints and manuals - Analytical skills - Attention to
detail - Teamwork and communication skills - Physical stamina and
strength - High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a
