Job Description:
Specialty Networks is a healthcare data analytics company that
offers solutions to life sciences companies to promote the
improvement of patient care. -A key component of Specialty
Networks' offering is a proprietary EMR healthcare database that
enables us to conduct medical research projects. -This is the
perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to become a part
of an innovative and energetic team that develops analyses and
analysis tools that influence both our products and customers.As
part of the Clinical and Business Intelligence team, the candidate
will lead and drive the technology and architecture standards for
data management and delivery solutions for Specialty Networks. They
will contribute to the technical vision for the product engineering
teams to deliver on the business goals for new data products,
consult on areas for optimization across existing product lines, as
well as define a data architecture strategy with an emphasis on
automation, self-service, and end to end delivery of platforms and
services using infrastructure as code, and modern architecture and
analytics delivery practices.
- Contributes to the technical vision and strategy for big-data
architecture practices, health care informatics, and analytics
based on business goals and roadmaps
- Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing
technologies and tools, influence Technology and Business leaders
and their technical teams to build the right systems that can scale
to the needs of the business
- Build and mature management and analytics capabilities and
establish a culture of operational excellence and continuous
improvement
- Implement and report on internal Data Quality Projects
- Partner Specialty Networks leadership to drive transformation,
innovation, and adoption of modern data technology architecture
best practices
- Collaborate and partner with Specialty Networks business
leaders to ensure technology solutions generate the maximum
business value and meet business needs both short-term and
long-term
- Apply technical expertise, leadership, and governance to guide
teams in solution design decisions that balance short term needs
with the long-term strategy
- Build exemplary solutions in terms of efficiency, stability,
extensibility, and the ability to evolve over time
- Create patterns and accelerators that streamline common data
modeling tasks through automation, efficiency driven, guided
tutorials, and documentation
Preferred Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics or related technical
field, in additional to:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL, data analysis and
predictive analytics with machine learning/statistical modeling
techniques
- Or, Master's Degree or higher in Applied Mathematics, Physics,
Computer Science, Statistics or related technical field, in
additional to:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in ETL, data analysis and
predictive analytics with machine learning/statistical modeling
techniques
Skills / Abilities
- Extensive background in data modeling, mining, and statistical
analysis
- Able to understand various data structures and common methods
in data transformation
- Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling
skills
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Java/Python,
SAS, R
- Experience combining analytic methods with advanced data
visualizations using, for example, Tableau, Shiny or D3
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to "connect the dots" to conceptualize new solutions
for the business, and skill set that blends architecture and
strategy with hands on experience and knowhow.
- 3+ years of experience in Healthcare business and
technology
- Understanding core machine learning ideas and an ability to
work with data science partners
- Demonstrated success leveraging technology to meet business
objectives -
- Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and an
enterprise-wide perspective
- Team orientation which fosters accountability, transparent
communication, and innovation -
- Outstanding collaboration, influencing, problem solving and
negotiation skills
- Innovative orientation and customer first mindset
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a
computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
