Job Description:

The Intake Counselor coordinates admissions into all Psychiatric and Detoxification Inpatient beds. The Intake Counselor will provide telephone/assessment scheduling, intake, insurance and admission support, for Rosary Hall Inpatient Detoxification and Psychiatry Inpatient. Serves as primary support for the intake nurse relative to telephone inquiries. The Intake Counselor will have knowledge of the disease of addiction, 12-Steps and 12-Step support groups (AA/Al-Anon/NA, etc.) and DSM V Mental Health diagnoses. The Intake Counselor must have superior customer service, communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively serve the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health clients/patient being referred to Rosary Hall and Psychiatric Inpatient services. Must have knowledge and experience working with insurance companies and excellent telephone communication skills. Experience working with Alcohol/Drug and Mental Health clients/patients is required. The Intake Counselor must be able to work flexible hours, holidays, and/or evenings as required. The Intake Counselor must be able to effectively prioritize, facilitate and complete assignments in an accurate and timely fashion, and maintain strict confidentiality of clients/patients records, as well as all other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's of Science in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related fieldAny of the following licensures: LISW, LSW, LPC, LPCC, RNPrevious experience in Chemical Dependency and Mental HealthPrevious experience in intake or equivalentPrevious experience in counseling/social workPrevious experience in the health care fieldSuperior customer service, communication, and organizational skillsDemonstrated PC skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook)Able to work days or eveningsMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodationPlease apply via link below:https://pm.healthcaresource.com/cs/sistersofcharityhealth#/job/10912
