Responsibilities Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Health Medical Insurance Claims Representative-Full Time Job Summary Insurance Claims Representative is responsible for payments and denials of insurance claims. The Insurance Claims Rep must have an understanding of how insurance claims are processed and must know how to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in order to resolve claims issues. The Insurance Claims Representative will need to have prior experience filing insurance appeals and accessing and navigating through provider portals. Qualifications Job Requirements Education: High school graduate or equivalent. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in insurance billing and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Any combination of education, training, or experience in hospital business office setting is preferred. Skills: Accurate documentation skills, effective communication skills, high volume customer service skills, organizational skills and computer literacy. Working Environment: Typical business office with continuous low voices and office machine noises. This individual must possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential. This individual must have the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. A professional demeanor and appearance is required.
