The Seafood Packer/Utility worker is responsible for picking and staging orders for customer delivery while maintaining the Seafood area of warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion and assisting the Fish Cutters.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssure all labels are clear and readable and have the country of origin on themMaintain SQF standards in the warehouse and keep track of all damaged inventory and report the same to the supervisorMaintain quality service by following organization standardsSanitize cutting boards and knivesInspect all equipment, including tools, pin bone machine, scales and hoses on a daily basisProperly clean and maintain the seafood areas in accordance with G.M.P's and SQF standardsStage seafood orders for shipping - pull items and place orders in delivery areaAccurately identify seafood product and build orders to customers specificationsMaintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulationsWorking ConditionsAbility to move/lift up to 100 lbs.Ability to withstand cool/cold temperatures in a typical food warehouse environmentPosition spends 6 - 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushingSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
