What Operations Management contributes to Cardinal Health Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function. Accountabilities in this role: - Responsible for managing the outer building operations for Crile, Taussig, Lerner and ED buildings - Responsible for a team of 9 associates that handle critical and time sensitive deliveries of medical supplies directly to the floors and patient areas - Team operates M-F 7am-3:30pm or until work is finished - Responsible for all Wavemark stocking and ordering for Tausig - Responsible for expired product management (CCF CEOs #1 supply chain initiative) - Customer facing supervisor role daily rounding to floors with employees, consistent interaction with nurses, nurse managers and other CCF support staff - Facilitates huddles with Nurse Managers and Equipment Technicians - Works closely with Equipment Techs and Nursing - Responsible for out stock product management in Wavemark - Tasked with support during Wavemark maintenance work that is ongoing - Responsible for Lerner storeroom and maintaining proper inventory, checking for expired product, and managing the team to ensure correct receipt and delivery of product Qualifications - High school diploma required - Bachelor's Degree preferred - 1-2 years related experience in a Leadership/Supervisor position - Strong communication skills - Leadership skills - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office What is expected of you and others at this level - Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations, or business support staff - Administers and executes policies and procedures - Ensures employees operate within guidelines - Decisions have a direct impact on work unit operations and customers - Frequently interacts with nursing, customers and peer groups at various management levels - Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution - Managing the workflow of employees, creating team schedules and delegating tasks - Assessing the work performance of employees and identifying areas that need improvement - Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met - Training new hires to make sure they understand their roles - Setting goals for team and making sure they comply with the company's plans and vision - Managing employee timecards and ensuring timecards are correct - Time management to ensure that you are meeting with team members in different areas and making yourself available to the team Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
