Job Summary The Workplace Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for efficient, effective, and flawless execution of projects with minimal disruption and consistent principles. Reporting to the Nestle in the Market (NiM) Head of Workplace Design and Construction, this role is a leader in the management of projects from start to finish, including preliminary planning, projects strategy development, high level estimation, design, pre-construction, detailed estimation, construction, and post-projects documentation completion. The right candidate will need a deep understanding of corporate interiors, site work projects, building envelope, building controls, restack projects, design programming, estimating, and project scheduling to be successful. Primary Responsibilities Preliminary Stage Work with business stakeholders and design and construction partners to evaluate feasibility and potential challenges of upcoming projects Develop strategic plan, timeline, programming, and major requirements for upcoming projects Prepare high-level estimates and detailed budgets and partner with Finance to prepare packages for capital approvals for various project stages Partner with Nestle North America Procurement creating Requests for Proposals (RFP) and solicit bids for projects evaluate bids, present findings, and deliver recommendations to Workplace Solutions Leadership, North American Procurement, Risk Management, Legal and Safety teams Lead weekly project updates with stakeholders aid in developing business cases to support project spend Evaluate changing trends in design interiors and construction methods, investigate cost savings methods, materials, and procedures, and present recommendations to improve on existing design standards Design and Pre-Construction Partner with in-house staff, design, furniture and other design elements suppliers on developing final floor plans evaluate workplace requirements and special areas required for the business Prepare detailed Bid Analyses and complete Savings Logs Coordinate all design related contracts, purchase orders, and change orders Prepare final budget and submission for review by Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Ensure all required construction related permits, Certificates of Insurance, and applicable letters of credit are obtained Manage GCs in creating and maintaining specifications and scope of work, and coordinate all associated construction activities Construction Maintain a current "stick" set of plans procure, receive, track, review, distribute, and obtain approval for shop drawings and submittals Update the project schedule, budgets, and drawing log and lead regular progress meetings with vital partner teams Ensure timely processing of , subcontractors, furniture, carpet, decor and branding invoices and vendor applications Write all construction related RFPs, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders maintain a record of field work and change orders and their impact upon job cost and the construction schedule Inspect site for safety hazards and advise and subcontractors or appropriate authority of findings Post-Construction and Projects Closing Ensure the accuracy of the Final Project Cost Obtain, assemble, distribute, and file all as-built drawings, design standards books for records, warranties, certificates of occupancy, and final lien releases Conduct detailed Pre-Walk and Final Walk with all subject areas involved in the project Transition project to Workplace Solutions Facility Services team to coordinate move change management Requirements and Minimum Education Level Required Qualifications Bacheloraposs degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Administration or equivalent experience equivalent experience defined as 4 years of relevant, professional level working experience in the same or similar field 8 years of project management work experience in a design field, in the general construction field, or office development area Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Experience working with AutoCAD and developing preliminary test fits Knowledge of Microsoft Project Preferred Qualifications Experience with Factory Offices and Distribution Center Warehouses Offices interior renovations projects Experience working with Revit PMP Certification Skills General understanding of basic Utilities, MEP and Structural systems Ability to managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously Effectively collaborates and influences project team members through strong interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized with strong time-management skills Ability to handle disputes and drive resolution Flexibility and adaptability to perform in a high-volume, fast paced and dynamic environment Focused on results, proactive, service oriented Excellent oral, written and facilitation skills Position descriptions are not intended to be comprehensive lists of all responsibilities, skills, or efforts.
