Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Maintenance
Technician II will work under the direct supervision of the Sr.
Maintenance Tech, Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager, providing
troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and
installation support for new and existing manufacturing equipment,
facility equipment, and devices. Provide on-line maintenance
support. Maintain all safety standards. What You'll do as a
Maintenance Technician Maintains and repairs electronic equipment
and industrial controls following blueprints and manufacturers'
specifications, and using hand tools and test instruments. Replaces
defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts using
the appropriate hand tools. Aligns, adjusts and calibrates
equipment according to specifications. Tests faulty equipment and
applies knowledge of functional operations and electronic units and
systems to diagnosis cause of malfunction. Converses with equipment
operators to troubleshoot problems with equipment before breakdown
and to determine if breakdown is due to human error or a mechanical
problem. Maintains and operates low-pressure steam boiler and air
compressors. Maintains maintenance records as required. Ensures
one’s safety and the safety of others while maintaining and
repairing the equipment. Ensures that the premises are clean and
orderly. Suggests ways and methods to improve the quality of
products and services offered. Ensures that health and safety
instructions and policies established by the organization are
respected and applied while executing his tasks. The Experience,
Skills and Abilites Needed Required: High School Diploma or GED.
2-5 years of related work experience (Automatic packaging
equipment, electrical, mechanical and electronics). 2 years of
experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic
systems. 2 years of experience in using various hand tools. 2 years
of experience in production equipment maintenance. Preferred:
Vocational/Technical Certification in automation and manufacturing
equipment repair and maintenance. Other: Ability to perform tasks
requiring several physical movements (kneeling, bending, throwing,
etc.) Ability to read/understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and
industrial standards. Demonstrated skill set to maintain,
troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical and mechanical
production equipment, including basic PLC troubleshooting, in order
to support the requirements of Operations. Reading, writing, and
basic math skills required. Demonstrated ability to work
effectively and react appropriately with shifting priorities and
rapid change. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Manual skills and precision. Good communication skills. Physical
strength. Time and priority management. Ability to make
