We are currently seeking a dedicated CDL A Truck Driver to manage and execute freight transport tasks efficiently, ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain operations and requires a driver who is not only highly skilled but also aligned with our mission to exceed client expectations. Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck over assigned routes to deliver goods. Load, handle, and transport freight in a way that ensures safety and minimizes risk of damage. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules complying with truck driving rules and regulations. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Report defects, accidents, or violations immediately, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain communication with dispatch to inform them of any delays, issues or deviations from the planned route. Proficiency in operating electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc). Ability to handle physical workload. Possession of a Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
