Midwestern Boutique IP Firm is seeking Patent Attorneys with 3-9+ years relevant experience to join their firm on a remote basis. This person will support a busy Patent Prosecution team. The firm is where in-house counsel of major corporations look for expertise and execution in the IP realm. There are specialists in all technology areas, including mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and chemistry.

Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Trade Secrets, Litigation, and all aspects of Intellectual Property and Technology Law.

Job Details

This attorney would primarily be tasked with procuring Foreign & U.S. patents.

As well as this, they will be
Working closely with inventors to draft, file and prosecute quality patent applications.
Assisting and instructing foreign patent associates.
Assisting with patent enforcement and challenge proceedings.
Assisting in other legal areas (e.g., IP litigation, transactional, regulatory, etc.), as needed.

Required
Must have a degree in computer engineering, computer science, electronics, software, or controls (or extensive experience in either) and must be admitted to the USPTO
At least 3 Years Patent Prosecution experience as an Attorney in a law firm setting

Candidate must demonstrate a strong scientific background in electrical engineering field and/or computer science field
Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
Outstanding writing skills, preferably demonstrated by original writing samples of patent applications, prosecution submissions, and/or other patent-related communications
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects
Positive and collaborative attitude

Pay is commensurate with experience.
