Summary of the position The M&A Integration Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting Sequoia’s continued growth through mergers and acquisitions. This position is dedicated to the project management aspects of integrating new firms into Sequoia and ensuring each transition is executed efficiently, collaboratively, and in alignment with the firm’s standards and culture. Reporting to the M&A Integration Lead, the M&A Integration Project Manager partners across business units to coordinate integration projects, track progress, and ensure seamless onboarding for new partners. Beyond managing day-to-day project execution, this role is also responsible for developing and refining best practices and processes to enhance the efficiency and scalability of future integrations. Responsibilities Project Leadership & Coordination Lead day-to-day integration efforts during key phases to support onboarding, training, and cultural assimilation, including travel as needed. Serve as primary daily contact for incoming firm to facilitate a collaborative integration process. Develop and enhance Sequoia’s integration framework and project management approach to drive consistency and excellence across all workstreams. Learn the work efforts required of each workstream and ensure project scope and objectives are defined, documented, and communicated within the overall project plan. Partner with subject matter experts and workstream leaders across the firm to align priorities, resources, and deliverables to meet integration milestones. Liaise between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables, and dependencies. Project Planning & Execution Utilize appropriate project management tools to plan timelines, tasks, milestones, and deliverables. Communicate project schedules, updates, and changes to all stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner. Plan and facilitate project meetings to align the team around goals, timelines, and deliverables. Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and post-meeting summaries to ensure accountability and follow-up. Monitor project progress, track task completion, and identify potential risks or delays; develop mitigation plans as needed. Identify and address resource gaps or conflicts to maintain momentum and ensure successful project execution. Process Improvement & Integration Excellence Identify, implement, and refine best practices, systems, and workflows to continuously improve Sequoia’s integration capabilities. Document and share lessons learned from each integration to build an evolving playbook that supports scalability and continuous improvement. Ensure continuity of client experience, advisory services, and operational excellence throughout all phases of integration. Required Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree required. 10 years of professional experience with 3 years of demonstrated project management experience, ideally within professional services, consulting, or financial services. Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion. Strong familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Highly resourceful and adaptable, with a track record of completing projects according to scope, budget, and timeline. Preferred Skills/Experience 3 years of experience with a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Previous experience leveraging project management tools to manage and track complex, cross-functional projects Competencies Self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Team-oriented and skilled at building strong relationships across departments and newly acquired firms. Digitally savvy, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and tools. Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with exceptional follow-through and accountability. Demonstrates adaptability, resilience, and professionalism in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
