Summary:
The CNC Set-up/Master -Programmer will have a variety of daily responsibilities including setting up jobs on the CNC machines, repairing problems that the operators cannot fix, operating the CNC machines, gaging parts -and keeping the area clean. - When operating a machine, the CNC Setup Master will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Do basic programming to complete writing of NEW programs
• Setup jobs on CNC machines
• Repair machines and assisting operators with repairs
• Complete -all paperwork as necessary
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications
• Clean work area, including mopping
• Perform various maintenance activities
• Work with office and supporting departments
  Qualification Requirements:
  • Must have 6+ years of setup experience on CNC machines
  • Must be able to long hand program a part from only a blueprint
  • Must understand the use of speeds and feeds with different tools
  • Must be able to read non digital micrometers and blue prints
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Must be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specifications
  • Must be cooperative, a team player and have good communication skills
  • Must be able to do basic mathematics: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Trigonometry is a plus.Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to:
    • Sit, stand and walk on oily surfaces
    • Moving material routinely
