Job Description:
The Biery Cheese HR Specialist - Talent and Training will be an
integral team member in attracting, developing and retaining our
operational team members.This role will partner with various
departments to develop, implement, and conduct training/development
programs for our team members while assisting in the talent
acquisition process for the organization.
Essential Duties:
Talent
- Identify, recruit, and screen potential team members for
specific positions in our organization.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job
board/newspapers/colleges etc
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and
selection tools/methods to filter candidates
- Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills,
experience and aptitudes
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
- Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to
the rest of the team
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate
relationships during the selection process
- Organize and attends job fairs, campus events, and other
networking opportunities.
Training
- Assesses training and development needs through job analysis,
surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with
managers.
- Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific
needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Enhance, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of
onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and
customers.
- Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and
course materials.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms
and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and
videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities,
attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining
requirements.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys,
and feedback.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal

regulations.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development,
or a related field required.
- At least two years of human resources or related experience
required.
- Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related
employment laws and guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and
methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and
alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and
development.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related
program software.
