potential.Your OpportunityPlay a critical role in driving the
success of our payroll team in all Workday payroll processing
procedures. Provide guidance on system functionality as well as
payroll questions, across our U.S. and Canadian payroll and tax
processing.In this role, you will:Support the payroll processors
and payroll operations personnel (inclusive of, but not limited to)
Process payroll beginning to endProvide expertise on retro
payments, imputed income, EIB, final wages and vacation purchase
mechanicsProvide guidance to our time & absence coordinator roll
and how to reconcile to payrollMonitor and coach on responding to
employee questions through our HR case portalCreate new hire tax
set ups, address change or location change tax set upsBe the
internal Canadian Tax specialist including knowledge of year end
reportingOversee corporate Flexible Work Arrangement policiesOwn
relationship with affiliated banks and other 3rd party
organizationsProvide backup support for journal entriesIdentify
process improvements & eliminate protentional errors through
re-design of the processConduct SOX testing (weekly, quarterly
tests)Provide regular updates on projects and tasksOffer insights
and suggestions with a continuous improvement mindsetBuild
intra-department relationshipsManage and evaluate objectives and
staff performance goals for 3 direct reportsSupport payroll testing
and one-off activities like system upgrades and changesSupport
mergers and acquisitions or restructuring proceduresLead all
reporting for payroll departmentIs this the Role for You?Are you a

experienceExperience directly managing othersPayroll tax
experienceAdvanced certification such as CPA, CPP, CEP
