Director of Human Resources (NMG-Stow, OH) The Director of Human Resources and Administration (HR Director) leads the Human Resources function for assigned areas/business units, as well as serve as a key business partner to the management team by identifying, creating, and executing initiatives, systems, and best practices to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and high-performing workforce company-wide.   • Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to ensure a robust and diverse applicant pool that results in a timely selection and placement process to meet the needs of the business now and in the future.
  • Manage the hiring process to ensure consistency across business units and departments and ensure compliance with all state, federal and industry specific requirements such as FAA, AAP and OFCCP requirements.
  • Facilitate orientation and on-boarding services for all new team members; ensure department/function level orientations are aligned with Company goals and effective in delivering a smooth entry to employment and increased likelihood of new hire retention.
  • Performs benchmark analysis with external sources to ensure NMG stays relevant in today's workforce climate with regard to employee relations issues and employment related practices, while maintaining a solid understanding of human resource issues spanning geographic and cultural boundaries.DEVELOP
    • Train, Coach, and Support supervisors and managers to navigate selection, evaluation, training, promotion, discipline, termination, and other HR issues.
    • Design, implement, and maintain an enhanced performance management system for employee evaluation and assessment.
    • Develop and deploy internal and external training resources to support individual skill advancement, personal career development plans, leadership development programs, compliance requirements, and targeted strategic initiatives.
    • Participate in the creation and maintenance of active Career Development Plans and Succession Plans as needed to support current and future workforce planning.RETAIN
      • Evaluate, negotiate, and update competitive benefits plan including Health & Wellness and 401k retirement savings; coordinate all benefit plan communications related to availability, eligibility changes, and compliance requirements.
      • Research, implement, update, and maintain competitive compensation scales to standardized pay ranges across the business relative to current market trends.
      • Proactively promote, monitor, and maintain positive employee relations and engagement in support of workforce well-being and employee satisfaction; foster an environment of open communication with and between all levels of employees and management.ADMINISTRATION
        • Lead the tactical development and execution of human resource functional area processes and procedures. Functional areas include: recruitment, onboarding, compensation, performance management, benefits/wellness administration, compliance, employee development, and engagement.
        • Provide leadership to a service-focused subordinate Human Resources team in the administration of, and compliance to, the department's business processes and procedures; identify, track and address training and development needs of HR team members minimizing gaps as required.
        • Understand, interpret, and share relevant laws related to personnel management and ensure all HR processes, reporting and actions are in compliance. Such as FLSA, EEO, AAP, ACA, ADA, FMLA, etc.
        • Manage all HRIS systems including supplemental interfaces such as LMS and other carrier feeds; review current systems and explore, and ultimately implement, new systems based on organizational need.
        • Contribute at a strategic level to align the Human Resources function with company strategy and annual policy deployment objectives.
        • Provide counsel and guidance to ownership, leadership and subordinate HR team around progressive discipline and performance development. Ensure timely resolution to concerns and proper documentation.
        • Oversight of front desk reception lobby personnel and functions (as needed)
        • Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and supporting analysis for human resources department.Additional Duties:
          • Assists with AS/ISO/QS & FAA requirements implementation and ongoing recertification.
          • Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.
          • Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.Qualifications:
            • Minimum 8+ years in an HR leadership role with full-function and subordinate team responsibility; demonstrated ability to drive results individually and as a team.
            • Manufacturing environment experience required; privately held/family-owned business experience preferred.
            • Strong Interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as create formal communication plans.
            • A bias for collaboration with other leaders with the ability to work outside of standard Human Resources responsibilities to support operations.
            • Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office, Internet, and HRIS systems (UKG Pro Software highly preferred).
            • Experience with management and/or implementation of self-insured or self-funded health insurance preferred.
            • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and mange sensitive information without compromise.
            • Must be willing to submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with NMG Aerospace (i.e., drug screen, background check, eye exam, hearing exam, etc.) and any subsequent testing required for the position during employment.
            • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time.
            • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or shop floor to access work supplies, tools, machinery, etc.
            • Light Travel - 10% of timeEducation:
              • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Management or related business field; or substantially equivalent progressive work experience is required.
