Job Description Description Seidman 5 \n Specialties : Surgical Oncology/ENT Step-down \n Seidman 5 is a 30 bed surgical oncology/ENT Step-down unit. We specialize in ENT free flap procedures, urological, and colorectal surgery. Our staff are specifically trained to care for ENT free flap patients so that they come from the PACU and bypass the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). \n \n Position Summary and Dimensions of Nursing Practice \n \n Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. \n Dimensions are Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. \n Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. \n Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. \n Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. \n Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. Qualifications Position Requirements: \n Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. \n Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. \n 1 year RN experience preferred. \n \n Education Requirements: \n Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred. \n Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program. \n \n License Requirements: \n Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio. \n Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation. \n $4,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with 1 years external RN experience- $2k after 90 days and $2k after 365 days in good standings \n \n Standing Frequently \n Walking Frequently \n Sitting Rarely \n Lifting Frequently 50 lbs \n Carrying Frequently 50 lbs \n Pushing Frequently 50 lbs \n Pulling Frequently 50 lbs \n Climbing Occasionally 50 lbs \n Balancing Occasionally \n Stooping Frequently \n Kneeling Frequently \n Crouching Frequently \n Crawling Occasionally \n Reaching Frequently \n Handling Frequently \n Grasping Frequently \n Feeling Constantly \n Talking Constantly \n Hearing Constantly \n Repetitive Motions Constantly \n Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination Constantly \n
