Patient Care Locations: - MetroHealth Main Campus Medical Center - Glick Center - MetroHealth Physical Rehab Institute - Parma Medical Center - Cleveland Heights Medical Center Patient Populations: - Emergency Departments - Acute Care Inpatient Specialty Units - Adult Intensive Care Units - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Labor and Delivery - Postpartum Care Primary skills utilized/learned: - Invasive and Non-invasive ventilation management - Evidence-based patient driven protocol pathways - Critical thinking and time management - Multi-disciplinary patient care management Personnel RRT will work with: - RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. Required Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy - Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) - Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board - Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification - Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed. Preferred Qualifications: - 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment. - Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring - Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA - Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA
