3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with
Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Monroe,
Michigan, 48162! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current and
active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP,
AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Must-Have: - Labor and Delivery
experience - Proficiency in Mother/Baby and Level I Nursery
Description: MI license in hand required. Every other weekend work
is mandatory. The unit consists of 17 rooms and 17 beds. Patient
age groups include neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Medication system utilized is Pyxis. Epic charting experience is
required. Provider support includes interpretation services,
pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response
team, respiratory services, social services, and transportation.
Unit coverage includes CRNA, hospitalist, anesthesiologist, CNM,
MD, and fellow. Patient diagnoses include C-sections, vaginal
deliveries, operative vaginal births, stabilization of neonates,
postpartum care, newborn care, antepartum care, intrapartum care,
and D&C post-delivery. Fetal monitoring, including the use of
an internal fetal monitor and contraction monitors, is required.
Special procedures involve amnioinfusion and assisting with
high-risk deliveries. The unit follows AWHONN staffing guidelines:
1:1 for laboring patients, 1:3 for couplet care, and 1:3 for
Mother/Baby and triage. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS,
NRP, and Michigan license. Experience in antepartum care and
procedures, such as NST and sterile vaginal exams, is essential.
Candidates must be proficient in diabetes management, HELLP
syndrome, placenta previa, pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, and other
high-risk conditions. Neonatal care skills, including APGAR scoring
and neonatal resuscitation, are necessary. Postpartum care skills
must include breastfeeding support, wound assessment, and
management of postpartum hemorrhage. Professional skills required
include isolation precautions and vaccine administration. Previous
charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. All candidates
must float as needed throughout the hospital. Local candidates will
not be accepted. References from within the last 24 months are
