Job Description Job Description DRUG/Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) TECHNICIAN J ob Summary The drug/BAT technician position is a PRN, employed position involving being on call and being called to the Wooster Community Hospital Emergency Department (WCH ED), the Bloomington Medical Services NowClinic, or to a local company to perform drug screens and/or breath alcohol tests. Reports To This position reports to the assigned Practice Manager. Essential Functions ? Certify and when due, re-certify, to perform drug screens and breath alcohol tests. ? Schedule to work on call shifts on a monthly basis, giving a two-week notice when expected to be unavailable (except in cases of emergency). ? When called in, appear at the designated facility within 30 minutes to perform requested testing. ? Complete/submit the required paperwork for testing. ? When required, send specimen to the designated lab for initial or additional testing. ? Record on call and call in hours, submitting them to the assigned Practice Manager at the end of the payroll period. ? Notify the appropriate person of the need for additional testing supplies. ? Communicate results to the appropriate person.
