Tower 8 is a 30 bed Trauma Unit in the Level 1 Trauma Center on
Cleveland’s Eastside. Our patients include Trauma Activations–from
the ED, PACU after surgery, the TSICU, and also transfers from

time employees Weekender Program – Salary and Schedule Overview
Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two
(2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In
return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5
times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in
Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits,
whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels.
Required For All Jobs - Performs other duties as assigned. -
Complies with all policies and standards. - For specific duties and
responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department
during orientation. - Must abide by all requirements to safely and
securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. Qualifications Position Requirements: /n Thorough
knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of
technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical
therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and
electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor
when responding to patients. /n 1 year of RN experience required /n
/n Education Requirements: /n Bachelor of Science in Nursing
preferred. /n Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from
accredited program. /n /n License Requirements: /n Registered nurse
with current license to practice in the state of Ohio. /n Current
BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart
Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation /n
