Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse - Day/Night Shift Location Cleveland, OH Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule / Shift Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) rotating shifts. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. Job Description We are seeking a skilled Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in stepdown or progressive care nursing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care and support for stepdown unit patients. - Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - A minimum of 18 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty prior to travel. - At least 18 months of recent Stepdown experience; travel experience is accepted. - Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required. - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. - Must work at least every other holiday.
