JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Electrophysiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Canton, OH Service Setting: Cardiac, Outpatient Clinic and Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: January 23 April 24, 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00a 4:00p On-Call Shift Schedule: - Night call Monday Friday - 24-hour weekend call Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: TBD Call Response Time: TBD COVERAGE DATES January 23, 2026 April 24, 2026 (Friday to Friday schedule) Six weeks of coverage needed during this period PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: TBD Admissions: Included Rounding: Included (hospital rounding required) Phone Consults: As required Case Mix: Electrophysiology cardiology, including outpatient consults and procedural care FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level II EMR System: Epic preferred Office Equipment Available: Standard EP cardiology equipment Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology and hospital-based support services Support Staff Available: Clinical and procedural staff on-site PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, with clean background Credentialing Timeline: TBD COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Electrophysiology studies Catheter ablation Cardioversion Implantable cardiac devices Syncope evaluations Remote monitoring device services Genetic testing JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Ohio license required; IMLC accepted with clean background Board: Board Certified in Cardiology and Electrophysiology DEA: Required CSR: Ohio CSR required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Experience: Previous electrophysiology experience expected Other Qualifications: Willingness to license in Ohio if needed; teaching hospital experience not required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide electrophysiology cardiology services in an outpatient and hospital setting Perform EP-related procedures and diagnostics Conduct hospital rounding and outpatient consults Manage EP lab responsibilities 24 days per week Participate in night call and 24-hour weekend call rotations Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR Adhere to department protocols, credentialing, and hospital standards
