Colorectal Surgery Unit is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive
Disease Institute, where surgeons perform more than 5,000 surgical
procedures annually. Caregivers report a strong sense of teamwork

As RN in this department, you will use your nursing skills to
enhance care and facilitate a welcome, healing environment for
patients. Here, you can grow alongside your fellow caregivers and
build a meaningful career at Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this
position works rotating days/nights from 7:00AM—7:30PM and
7:00PM—7:30AM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide
direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and
revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and
communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications
and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients
and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future
caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of
Professional Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
(RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American
Heart Association (AHA) One year of current acute care RN
experience OR military RN experience Preferred qualifications for
the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor’s of Science in
Nursing (BSN) Physical Requirements: Full range of body motion for
handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and
eye-hand coordination Standing and walking for extended periods of
time Corrected vision and hearing to normal range Working under
stressful conditions and irregular hours Exposure to communicable
diseases and/or body fluids Medium Work , exerting 20 to 50 pounds
of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or
greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
objects Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Light
Work Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions
using personal protective equipment as required Pay Range Minimum
hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60 The pay range displayed on
this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A
successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after
taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work
history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range
displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g.,
shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not
