We currently offer an opportunity for a full time days, Pulmonary Function Respiratory Therapist to support patients in our acute care hospital in Cleveland. This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision. What You Will Do - Mechanical ventilation - Medicated aerosol delivery - Airway clearance therapy - Patient monitoring - Oxygen and humidity therapy - Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.) Additional Responsibilities - Performs other duties as assigned. - Complies with all policies and standards. - For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. - Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications Education - Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or - Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required) Work Experience - 1 years Respiratory Therapy (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required) - Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred) - Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required) - American Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred) - NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months) Position Details/Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of recent Pulmonary Function experience is strongly preferred. Having a CPFT or RPFT is ideal but not required. The schedule is (4) 10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday.
