and part time positions. /n Lerner Tower 4 is a 30 bed adult
inpatient care unit that primarily provides care for neurology and
neurosurgical patients. Within the unit there is also a neuro
intermediate care unit, in which stepdown acuity level neuro
patients can be cared for. Additionally, Tower 4 has a unique
collaboration with NSU, the neuro ICU. Management as well as staff
from both areas meet frequently to discuss issues, work on process
improvement and patient satisfaction /n Neurology (Lerner Tower 4)
/n Essential Functions /n /n - Implements the nursing process by
delivering effective relationship based nursing care. /n -
Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe
practice and positive care outcomes. /n - Demonstrates clear
communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care
and clinical operations. /n - Develops self and contributes to the
professional practice of nursing. /n - Displays leadership that
influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. /n /n
Required For All Jobs /n /n - Performs other duties as assigned. /n
- Complies with all policies and standards. /n - For specific
duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the
department during orientation. /n - Must abide by all requirements
to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI)
for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH
policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of
PHI in the workplace. /n Qualifications Position Requirements: /n
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide
variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed
medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers,
sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a
professional demeanor when responding to patients. /n 1 year of RN
experience required /n /n Education Requirements: /n Bachelor of
Science in Nursing preferred. /n Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s
Degree in nursing from accredited program. /n /n License
Requirements: /n Registered nurse with current license to practice
in the state of Ohio. /n Current BLS Provider Certification, issued
by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing
