The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) cares for post-surgical patients recovering from anesthesia. Focusing on collaboration, this team prides themselves on providing top-quality and patient-centered attention and support. As a RN in this department, you will use your nursing skills to enhance treatments and facilitate a welcoming, healing environment for patients. A new caregiver will attend a PeriAnesthesia Essentials Class as part of their orientation into a PACU position. For a full list of benefits, click here. - Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. Caregivers in this role will work fulltime 11:00am to 11:30pm. A caregiver in this role will: - Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. - Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. - Administer prescribed medications and treatments. - Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. - Provide healthcare education to patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required within one year of hire - At least one year of acute care RN experience OR military RN experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
