Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry
experience. License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact State
license in hand required. Certifications: American Red Cross BLS &
ACLS required, NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
Must-Have: One recent reference from a manager, supervisor, or
director in the specialty applying for is required. ECG rhythm
recognition test and safeMedicate must be completed during
orientation with an acceptable score on both assessments.
Description: All requirements listed in the job description are
non-negotiable. Night shift consists of three 12-hour shifts from 7
PM to 7 AM. Candidates must have 18 months of permanent
Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience prior to travel. References
must come from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Required
certifications must be active with nothing pending. Candidates will
receive two attempts to pass the ECG rhythm recognition test and
safeMedicate assessments. Candidates with any background checks
reviewed by the facility will not be accepted if there is an open
case. Exemptions for nicotine-free requirements are temporary and
will be honored until further notice for nurses and surgical
technologists. All other travelers must be nicotine-free and pass a
negative drug screen. Permanent and per diem candidates cannot
return to the facility for one year from their previous end date.
Background checks are time-sensitive and must be completed within
48 hours of signing the contract. Candidates may extend their
contract for an additional 18 months, after which a six-month break
is required. Extensions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
