Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact license and at least 18 months of recent specialty experience. Responsibilities - Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Patient population includes adult med/surg and telemetry cases - Uses ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessment tools - Day and night shifts are 12 hours each, with rotating shifts possible based on hospital needs - Travelers are required to work at least every other holiday - Orientation includes required testing and completion of relevant modules - Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to the hospital for one year after their previous end date - Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers - Background checks are required; open cases will disqualify applicants - Annual education modules are required if on contract for a year or more - Fingerprints and badge pickup must be completed onsite before starting Requirements - Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand - Minimum of 18 months of permanent recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a hospital setting - AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required - One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for consideration - Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate testing during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620872.
