Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and extensive specialty experience. Responsibilities - Position is in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a large hospital setting - Patient population includes a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry cases - Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am); variable shifts may be required based on operational needs - Traveler must work at least every other holiday - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be administered during orientation with a passing score required - Fingerprinting and badging must be completed onsite prior to start after required modules are complete - Annual and pre-start educational modules are required and must be completed via Silkroad - Returning employees or travelers may not return within one year of previous end date with the health system - Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free testing requirements Requirements - Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at the time of consideration - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - Minimum 18 months of permanent, recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel assignments - One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required - No open background check cases or license hits permitted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614220.
